Rita is a little spitfire, just like her sire. She is the first foal born from parents (Splash and Buckette) that Rockin’ Clip Clop owns. Her confor-mation is superb, and you can tell from the photos that she is refined with delicate, yet strong features. Her head is beautifully shaped, with perfect ear and eye placement which complement the attractive dishing from her nose to her forehead. At this young age she has a level of intelli-gence and inquisitive kindness that would normally be indicative of a much older foal.
Rita’s hair coat is vastly different than her half-sister, Haylo. Even as a tiny foal, Rita’s hair resembled that of a mink… ultra-soft and plush. Her mane and tail have a silkiness and lit-tle touch of curl that make her ab-solutely irresistible!
It will be fun to watch Rita grow and mature. She has already changed so much during the winter that it will be fun to see what she looks like when she sheds her winter coat.
From the time Rita's feet hit the ground she was running, bouncing, and bucking. Her bursts of energy left a lot of mouths dropped open, as visitors couldn’t believe how fast she could motor around the pasture. Her dam, Buckette, put up with quite a few more antics than Haylo ever pulled. Rita knew where the milk source was and never left Buckette alone or very far away. A little nip and she was off and running again.
The photo to the right is exactly how Rita napped…legs stretched out to the back, on her tummy, with one leg tucked underneath her and the other stretched out forward with her nose resting on top of her leg. She is just beautiful.
